whimsical, thoughtful, pure.
Hey there, friend! My name is Elizabeth Ashley and I am 31-year-old natural light chaser preserving your most precious memories. I live in Philadelphia, am my husband's girlfriend, and have a kick-butt ginger cat named Shooter. I cherish experiencing life through travel, delicious food, and sipping ice coffee during long drives with the windows down.
When did my photography journey begin?
My strongest memories as a young girl are those of my mother using her 35mm film camera on trips to museums or gardens in the Philadelphia area. I loved sealing the film in an envelope and waiting for my photographs to magically appear a week or so later. I vividly remember feeling awe that it was possible to 'freeze' a moment and have tangible evidence that it happened! As I got older I'd borrow my mother’s Polaroid, her Point and Shoot, and even her handheld video camera. I grew into 'that' teenager who was the one constantly taking photographs at parties and school functions. After school, I'd venture out to the park and use a disposable camera to shoot photographs of the blossoming flowers or leaves as they began to change color in the fall. I majored in Psychology, English, Media Studies and Photography throughout my college career. Ultimately I decided to follow my desire to share my vision of the world and the people in it and pursued starting my own photography business/career.
If it evokes emotion in you, keep your finger on the shutter and pursue that feeling with your eye.
I want to know your story. Let's get your E. Ashley Photography journey started, shall we?

Elizabeth is the best! She went above and beyond for our newborn session, driving over an hour to shoot at our house, staying later than planned, and keeping things laid back throughout the process. Instead of making us awkwardly pose, Elizabeth captured organic moments between our family as they happened and we couldn’t be happier with the end results! Now we have dozens of warm, loving images with our baby that we can look back on throughout the years.
