personal work
My love for photographic imagery manifests in many ways. Learning that lighting can create an idea, how exposure can alter my best intentions and the subtle way changing a photograph from color to black and white can completely redirect the dialog of the shot are aspects of photography that I flirt with continuously.
In my studies of the self-portrait I discover that it is possible for the superficial to become more than what the surface offers; I enjoy tremendously the facets of my personality that are directly translated from what I feel inside to what I can see in a photograph.
My mind's eye is directed toward any movement, color or object whether unique or cliche that leads me to believe it may be caught in a new way- trapped for an instant that is mine to share through the photograph I shoot.
The photographs I've chosen to place in the galleries I've named 'personal work' and 'mind's eye' are those which I feel are pure examples of who I am as a burgeoning professional photographer.
Site galleries of my personal work will be available in full
